Symbolism without the fulfillment of what it means is pointless. There are numerous sacrifices that symbolized and represented the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. If Jesus had not fulfilled what those sacrifices symbolized then all of the symbolism would have been pointless and useless. The same holds true for Christians. If we do not make the symbolisms a reality then the symbolisms are useless and pointless. For example, we are commanded to put leaven out of our homes which symbolizes putting sin out of our lives. If we do not remove sin from our lives then the symbolism of removing leavening from our homes is pointless. Symbolism and reality must work together to fulfill GOD’S intended purpose and meaning of them.
