Jesus used meals as a time to teach those He was with while He lived and for those of us living today. His teachings are good reminders for Christians today as we prepare for the Passover and Spring Holy Days and provides us with a solid foundation for a character that should reflect His example.

In 1 Corinthians 11: 29, the Apostle Paul makes a statement with regard to how the Passover is not to be observed, "for he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body." This message looks into what this statement is telling us.

Many are experiencing loneliness in their lives. Just what it is and how we can cope with it is the subject of the sermon.

Most people believe they will go to heaven when they die, but the Bible tells us we all wait in the graves until the resurrection. However, there is a heaven and the Bible reveals quite a bit about it.

There is a lot of Antisemitism, but that will also flow over into hatred against those who follow Christ. As we enter another very troubled year in this world, we need to watch and stay close to God. The Church, of which we are part, has plans to continue preaching the gospel and taking care of the members God has called.

There are many ideas about what a saint is and what is required to be named a saint. What does the Bible say?

Does God have time to care whether we get a good night's sleep, whether our car is running safely or whether our cold goes away? Or is God more interested in just keeping the Big things in the Universe running? How much does God really care about us? Are we important to God as an individual? Are we important to God as a collective body? How interested is God in the details of our lives? Lets try and look at this from God's point of view.

We see and hear details of atrocities in this world every day. Many of God’s people are going through severe hardships in their lives. Satan has developed this world so that we focus on the negative and the hardships. Satan is trying to discourage us, wear us down so that we quit. God very clearly teaches us that it is very important that we put our main focus on Him and His promises. Many in the Bible endured to the end by successfully focusing on God’s Promises.

We have seen the recent news of the conflict between Israel and Hamas. The bible shows us more is to come, but Jesus, as our Coming King, will bring Peace to the entire area

The devil is a liar and when he is removed from influencing humanity, truth will prevail.

A great change for us will take place at the first resurrection. The Bible gives us hints in 1 Corinthians 15 how flesh will become spirit.

As called-out members of the Church of God, we look forward to the return of Jesus Christ and receiving eternal life. We also look forward to becoming His bride. Are we making ourselves ready for that day?

We look at some very exciting scriptures relating to the fulfillment of the Feast of Trumpets. We address a question whether the 7th trumpet is the same as the last trumpet. We also look at a question whether Jesus Christ will return on the Feast of Trumpets.

Jesus Christ spoke during the Feast and Last Great Day. There are lessons we can learn from his words which should help us keep the feat better this year.

Five action steps on how we can keep the gospel message of the Kingdom more firmly in our minds.

Malichi Chapter 4 is an intense prophecy about the time of the end. It speaks of the fate of the wicked and the righteous. It also speaks of Elijah the prophet who will come before the great and dredful day of the Lord, turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers. The fulfillment of this prophecy is not fully understood but there are scriptures to note to help in our understanding.

There are many scriptures in the bible describing a person’s heart. Some scriptures describe a heart as evil or wicked. Other scriptures describe the heart as pure and clean. We will see that the heart that the bible describes is different than the human organ that pumps blood. God searches the heart of human beings. We will see if we seek God with all of our heart, we will find Him.

We need to become better educated in the ways of God.

God's spirit enables us to boldly come before God for help and that we can boldly say the Lord is our helper. But there is a reckless kind of boldness that we must avoid.

The Feast of Firstfruits has great meaning for God's Church. We can learn from other "firsts" in the Bible, lessons that can be applied to us today as we exercise the Holy Spirit and striving daily to live in the light of God.

God gives us a measure of His power to help us grow spiritually and overcome..

God gives us the exact day of the Hebrew calendar to keep all of His festivals except the Feast of Pentecost. God tells us to count to determine the exact day of Pentecost. We will see the count begins on the day the wave sheaf offering is presented to God during the Days of Unleavened Bread. We are told to count seven sabbaths and then the day after the seventh sabbath would be the Feast of Pentecost.

God expects us to live differently than before and with the Holy Spirit within us, we have the help we need to become the new creation God expects us to be.

Honoring our parents is foundational in understanding the roles and responsibilies of all the members of the family.

The last words that Jesus said on the day that He died by crucifixion deserves our full attention and consideration. All of Christ’s sayings were powerful and very meaningful. But the last words of Jesus on the cross as He died for us should change our lives…..

Many of us don't have the opportunity to have a job working directly for the Church, but that doesn't mean we don't have a part in God's work. We all have a part, and the sermon explains what that part is.

The Sermon begins by covering the topic of "What do we believe" regarding forgiveness before and after Baptism. It then transitions to focus on the role of slavery in the Bible and the choice we make to be slaves of sin or servants of righteousness with the undercurrent of understanding the meaning of Passover and the liberty we receive when removing sin and asking for repentance. 

As we daily examine ourselves to identify and remove sin we can often miss the obvious ones. Pride can be one of he most difficult for us to see in ourselves.

The removal of leaven for 7 days reminds us that pride also needs to be replaced with humility. This doesn't come naturally and we have to learn to put on humility. Three ways on how this can be done is discussed in the sermon.

How often do we really stop to think about the Incredible Sacrifice from God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Many people can read the Bible and just think about Jesus’ life and death as just a story, and It's easy for them to do that. But as God's people, we know it's so much more than that.

We will see how God is a family made up of 2 members right now. The purpose for God’s plan for mankind is to expand that family. The family is named after God the Father and He has personally invited us to be a part of the God family. As we accept the invitation from God, we make a commitment at baptism to submit our life to Him from then forward. With this information, we see how Jesus Christ and Passover fits in to make us all one family.

The first thing Jesus said after His crucifixion was to ask the Father to "forgive them for they do not know what they do." Forgiveness is a mindset that we too must have.

Often times John 3:16 is just a motto for some people. But the meaning has deep importance for all and is to be understood in its fullness especially in regards to Passover.

When we study into the attacks on Jesus’ character and the devil’s attempt to get Him to sin we see that not only did Jesus not give in to any temptation, He left us an example of what to do when we are tempted…

God's relationship with Moses from early in his life to the many events that shaped Moses as a leader can apply to us today in our walk with God as we prepare for the Spring Holy Days.

We live in a world that doesn't have much trust. Yet, we can't let what is going on in society affect our trusting in God.

We need to consider what God is doing within our lives and consider what we must do to fulfill our part. In this message we use a modern word, character, to describe it. If we submit to Him, we see that God is developing in us His attributes, His qualities, and His traits. We can’t do this by ourselves, we will see that God is producing His Godly character in us as a gift.

We often look at the geopolitical prophecies as to what will happen before Christ returns, but we also need to be reminded of what will happen after Christ sets up the millennial rule over this earth.

We are God's People, we have a tremendous blessing of being a chosen generation and having this time to prepare ourselves for God's coming kingdom. We are His first fruits, God has revealed to us His Truth and His way of life. But we are also reminded that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish, so we should not consider ourselves better or more worthy than those around us, because all have the potential to be Sons of God.

GOD made an everlasting covenant with Noah that HE would never again destroy the earth with a flood. We know that GOD will never break that covenant. But there was also another everlasting covenant that GOD made with Abraham and HIS descendants--the church today…

The Fruit of God's spirit contains many aspects and we need to produce that singular fruit that is defined in Galatians 5:22-23

From Creation to current day we see the evidence of God's Sabbath. The Sabbath was created to be sanctified and holy as a day to be observed as a delight on the 7th day of the week as noted at Creation, during the time of the Israelites, as observed by both Jesus and His Disciples and now today by His True Church.
 

After we are chosen by God, He begins to teach us His way of life. He teaches us who He is and why we were born on this earth. God has provided us solid sound doctrine as a foundation for us to build upon. True and sound doctrine only comes from the Father and is passed down to human beings. God’s doctrine is provided for us to believe and develop a serious conviction for God’s way of life. This message shows the importance of God’s doctrine for us.

There are many things that point to the fact that we are in the end times, but there are still a number of prophecies yet to take place.

It is God's desire that His Holy people separate themselves from the sins of society and also not be deceived by the false teachings of established religions. This sermon reminds us of the coming revival of the false Babylonian religious system that will control much of the world's commerce and power. The Bible gives us guidance on how to prepare for this powerful force.

During political elections we could get caught up in the results and be fretful and worried. There is, however, a much greater responsibility we have and that is to make OUR election sure.

The two goats ceremony that took place on the Day of Atonement foreshadowed an event that was partially fulfilled on the day that Jesus was crucified. That event contains valuable information to encourage us as true Christians to continue on to overcome sin and Satan.

A Jubilee year was announced once every 50 years on the Day of Atonement. There is much meaning with what was to take place during the Jubilee year and what the Day of Atonement pictures.

The Feast of Trumpets symbolizes the return of Christ and the resurrection of the saints. The sermon looks at who are the saints, their current responsibilities and what will happen to them when Christ returns.

As we look back throughout history of human beings, we tend to be very slow to believe God and take God seriously. God has taught the church and has allowed us to understand prophesies of the end time. The coming Feast of Trumpets pictures and describes many of these prophecies. We will see today that these prophecies give us warnings that we must take heed of. God teaches us that we must watch, be ready, and be prepared for Jesus Christ’s return.
 

Many of us have observed the holy days for years. We still need to be reminded of their importance. There are some ways in which we can prepare to make them even more special this year.

Time is a valuable comodity. In Ephesians 5:16 we are instucted to redeem the time because the days are evil. Our physical time on earth as human beings is limited. How are we using the time that we have. Are we rescuing it from loss or is it wasting away?

A review of the 70 weeks prophecy, which is found in Daniel along with an important document that is found in Ezra.

God provides us with one scripture in the bible, a game plan that will help us endure to the end and enter His Family. The Bible is filled with accounts of God’s greatest servants battling to overcome sin. All of these servants were taught and trained by God individually to submit to Him and resist the devil. We will look at scriptures in the Bible that show that God is also teaching and training us in the very same way.

The parable of the wheat and the tares can be very disconcerting. Just as we do not plant weeds or tares in our garden, neither does GOD; He plants good seed. The evil one, an enemy plants the tares, and they are planted to prevent the good seed from growing and producing good fruit. The parable is a warning for us not to be a tare but to be good seed producing good fruit for the Kingdom of GOD….

God promised Abram that if he obeyed, He would cause many nations and kings to come from his lineage. This birthright promise was passed down to Isaac, Jacob and eventually, the sons of Joseph. There are great responsibilities that come with being the inheritors of these promises. As a nation, how are we doing?

It's important that we have physical knowledge in order to cope in this society, but what is most important to have is spiritual understanding. That requires us to have continuing education in spiritual concepts and doctrine.

God gives us instructions, warnings, and prophecies about the end time. We can read about the False Prophet that will come on the world scene yet in our future. We will read the scriptures that God provides us about this individual. We must be expecting and looking for this individual to come on the world scene. If we are expecting him and looking for him then we will not be deceived by him.

What does it mean to be a memeber of the Church of God?

We will be focused primarily on the first fruit harvest. Our goal is to be harvested as part of the first fruit harvest of human beings into God’s Family. God has provided us everything we need to in order to mature and develop as a spiritual plant. God has provided us 3 very important things for our maturing process. He has given us Jesus Christ as our teacher and provider. He has given us His Holy Spirit to lead us and correct us as a helper. He has also given us the church as an intertwined group of called members.

The Church began on Pentecost, and we are to be part of what God ordained for all who have Christ in them.

We view power in many ways. Man has created so many powerful feats of engineering but humankind forgets that our ability comes from God. This Holy Day season we reflect on the power God gives us, His Holy Spirit, and are reminded that we need to live a life exercising that power by following His laws and the example of Jesus Christ.

The Bible speaks of many mysteries, and as we prepare for Pentecost, it is helpful to know what it really means to have Christ in us.

At the time of the death of Jesus, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom.  This sermon explains the significance of this powerful event.

With all the debate in society today, it is important to know how God views women.

The apostle John wrote that we need to keep ourselves from idols. What does that mean?

God expects us to flee from sin and the wrong desires of this world.  How can we avoid the deadly process of sin?

During the Spring Holy Day season we reflect on many important reminders of our spiritual learning. With just one cord or tie we only see part of God's plan but when we combine these cords we strengthen our spiritual fabric and reliance on God and His perfect plan.

As we begin to approach Passover, it's important that we examine our heart. When God talks about a human being's heart in the Bible, He is not talking about the heart that pumps blood. We will look at many descriptions from the Bible about a human beings heart. We will also read about the heart that God desires within us. There is a specific heart, that the Bible describes, that is acceptable to God. He is the potter and we are the clay, He is in a process of developing a new heart within us. As we approach Passover we need to take an honest look at our personal heart to see how we are doing.

Each year we are to keep God's holy days. There is also a lesson to learn from Jannes and Jambres.
